Why you look bigger in the first days
Tumescent technique infiltrates fluid into the treated layer, and the tissue responds to being worked with inflammation. Both add volume. For two or three days the area can genuinely measure larger than it did before treatment.
This is the stage patients photograph and panic about. It resolves quickly — most of that fluid clears within the first week — and it says nothing whatsoever about the eventual result.
Why one side swells more than the other
