What to pack for a liposuction trip to Seoul —
the ARTNER Cheongdam, Gangnam checklist.

Packing for a treatment trip is not packing for a holiday. The things that matter are the ones you will reach for while swollen and tired in a hotel room in Gangnam, plus the documents that make day 1 at the clinic quick rather than frustrating. Here is the list ARTNER Cheongdam sends before every trip.

Clothing that actually works after a procedure

Loose, soft and easy to get into. After abdomen or flank work, avoid waistbands that sit on the treated area — high-waisted joggers or dresses work better than jeans. After arm work, front-buttoning shirts save you raising your arms overhead. After back or bra-line work, bring wire-free bras: the wire sits exactly on the treated line.

Dark colours are practical for the first week, and one outfit you feel presentable in matters more than five you do not. Cheongdam is a neighbourhood where people dress up, and feeling normal walking to a café is part of recovering well.

Medication and supplements — what to declare

Bring everything you take regularly in its original packaging plus a written list, including supplements. Blood thinners, aspirin, fish oil, high-dose vitamin E and some herbal supplements affect bleeding and are asked about specifically at ARTNER Cheongdam.

Do not stop anything on your own before travelling. Tell us what you take when you first message, and Dr. Pyeon will advise what to pause and when — that instruction comes from the clinic, not from the internet.

Documents worth bringing to Gangnam

Passport and K-ETA or visa, your medication list, and previous operative notes if you have had contouring before — those notes genuinely shorten the assessment and change what is safe, especially for revision cases.

Travel insurance details are worth having even though cosmetic treatment is not usually covered; they matter for everything else that can happen on a trip. Keep a photo of each document on your phone as well as the paper.

What not to bother packing for Seoul

Ice packs, gauze, plasters, snacks and toiletries — all available within a few minutes of ARTNER Cheongdam at a convenience store or pharmacy, usually cheaper than at home. Compression garments are not needed either: we use light support for a few days plus Accent Prime aftercare rather than garment weeks.

Also skip the swimwear and the sauna plans. Hot baths, jjimjilbang and pools are out until incisions have healed, which is usually about two weeks.

If you are travelling alone in Cheongdam

Pack for the first 48 hours being slower than you expect: food you can eat in the room, a long charging cable you can reach from the bed, and a bottle you can refill. Tell ARTNER Cheongdam that you are alone and the coordinator checks in more actively on WhatsApp.

If light sedation is planned for a larger area, we recommend someone accompanies you back to the hotel that day — or that you arrange a taxi rather than the subway.
